Pecans for Sale
Coming Soon!
This year’s pecan harvest is underway at Oliver Pecan Co.’s orchard in San Saba, Texas, which means that we are days away from our annual Pecan Sale! This wonderful tradition was started by the Blanco Woman’s Club to help raise money for the library, and has been a popular staple of our little town ever since. Perfect for pies, cobblers, candied treats, salad toppers, or mixed into your morning granola, they are better than candy… and make great GIFTS too. We will announce the arrival of the pecans as soon as we get them in, so be sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates!
FREE SHRED DAY
Saturday, November 14, 9 am - 11 am
Mark your calendar and start pulling your paperwork together for FREE SHRED DAY. We will be out here rain or shine, so gather those old papers and swing by!
A few things to know:

Paperclips and staples are acceptable

Please remove binder clips and spiral bindings from notebooks beforehand

Please follow the traffic flow to help keep the line moving efficiently

Kid's Baking Championship: Holiday Edition
Saturday, December 5th
The holiday baking showdown is coming this December! Get your little bakers ready for the Kid’s Baking Championship: Holiday Edition on Saturday, December 5th. Expect festive fun, sweet creations, and a little friendly competition. Featuring the hostess with the most-est herself: Sandi Claus! Will your young baker rise to the occasion?

Notice to all naturalists, gardeners, and curious passerby...
The Blanco Library is building a living archive of seeds gathered from gardens, fields, prairies, and roadsides throughout the ecoregion we call home. Each seed represents generations of adaptation, resilience, and careful stewardship. Together, they preserve the botanical heritage of our community for generations to come.

Weekly Storytime
Storytime is an early literacy program primarily for children from birth to preschool age (0-5 years) to encourage them to develop habits that foster a lifetime love of reading and learning. Children of all ages are welcome!
